I got my policy set up really quickly, which felt great. Updating a few details afterward was smooth too. It did take me a minute to find the right page, but overall I was happy with how easy the whole process was.

I picked up an AIG Insurance policy because the coverage options looked like they matched what I needed. And to be fair, it does cover the main things I was looking for. But I was a little disappointed by how unclear some parts were. I had to go back and read the fine print a few times just to understand what was actually included. "I was way more confused than I expected"
The info was kind of unclear and I had to reread it like five times, which felt a little dramatic for something that should’ve been simple. It definitely could’ve explained things better because I was sitting there wondering if I missed an entire secret instruction manual.

My claim was approved, which is great, but the payout is taking way longer than I expected. I’m still waiting and it’s frustrating. I also wish the instructions were clearer about what happens after approval and how long the payment is supposed to take

"Rude agent and frustrating call"
I had a frustrating experience on the call. The agent came across as rude and kept cutting me off while I was trying to explain the issue. I didn’t feel like they were really listening or trying to help. As a customer, I think we just want to be heard and treated with a bit of patience, and this call really missed the mark.

"Claim dragged on way too long"
I filed a claim with AIG it just seemed to sit there for weeks. I kept having to call back, and every time I spoke to someone, I got a slightly different answer. Even small things, like confirming they had the documents I already sent, turned into another phone call. It never felt like one person was actually handling the case or taking responsibility for it. Really frustrating experience and not at all what I expected.

I had a frustrating time with the billing on aig.com. My payment had already come out of my account, but the site still showed it as unpaid, so I ended up having to call and sit around waiting to get it sorted. I was supposed to be getting ready to go out, but instead I wasted that time dealing with this. It did get fixed eventually, but the whole payment process felt clunky and way more stressful than it needed to be.

I had to reach out to AIG with a question about my policy, and I’ll admit I went in expecting it to be a whole long thing. I already had it in my head that customer service with big companies can be a pain, so I was kind of ready to be proven right.
But the person on chat was actually really helpful and patient. They explained everything in normal, plain language instead of giving me those copy-and-paste answers, and when I asked a follow-up question, they didn’t make me feel silly for not knowing.

It all got sorted the same day, which surprised me in a good way. If anything, it confirmed my other belief that when you get someone who actually knows what they’re doing, customer service doesn’t have to be stressful. Easy 5 stars from me

"Felt a bit pricey for what it was"
I got a quote through aig.com and, I don’t know, it just came back higher than I was expecting. I had checked a couple other places too, so maybe that made it stand out more. The website itself was fine, nothing too annoying, but the price kind of made me pause.

I guess I expected a little more value since AIG is such a big name. Like, if I’m paying more, I want to feel like there’s a clear reason for it, and I didn’t really get that feeling from the coverage.
Maybe it’s a better fit for someone else or for a different situation, but for me it didn’t quite add up. I ended up thinking I could probably get something similar for less somewhere else.
